AOTA's advocacy events

AOTA's Annual Hill Day is open to everyone - members and non-members, students and practitioners - interested in traveling to Washington, DC and raising their voice in support of their profession. Occupational therapy advocates can register to attend AOTA's Hill Day. Registration is required to attend AOTA's Hill Day. Registration is not limited to AOTA members, however, your AOTA membership ensures advocacy opportunities and activities are available in support of occupational therapy.

Students are encouraged to attend AOTA's Annual Hill Day. Occupational therapy students have been a backbone of AOTA's advocacy efforts. However, schools and programs are limited to 20 students each. This number does not include faculty.

Registrants will be expected to arrange their own travel to Washington, DC to attend the event. Communications will be sent to registrants to prepare them for their participation. Please include  “HillDay@aota.org” and "FAD@aota.org" in your list of approved senders to ensure you receive these communications. 

Registrants for AOTA's Annual Hill Day will be briefed on conducting an advocacy meeting, provided with all the resources they need to successfully advocate on the issues for the event, and will be supported by AOTA staff every step of the way.
