In the Community

Sensory-rich, community-based occupational therapy play with toddlers and caregivers

A park in the morning hours hums with activity. Rainbow rice jingles against metal bowls. Chalk scrapes softly against the pavement as tiny hands scribble colorful loops. Caregivers cheer as children leap over steppingstones and climb over low arches. Nearby, the smell of grass mixes with the fizz of baking soda and vinegar, bubbling out of beakers and spilling orange foam onto white trays. Some children stay rooted in one activity. Others circle, wander, run to climb, then return again.
