Program Description

Come and engage in 18 concurrent sessions, keynote presentation, closing presentation, and more than 40 posters during 2 full days of sessions and networking. In addition, there will be 3 preconference sessions to choose from. Choose from sessions that address both adults and children/adolescent clients who are facing mental health challenges.

Topics will cover important issues facing practitioners today, including:

  • School mental health and wellness
  • Supporting meaningful occupations
  • Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) for occupational therapists
  • OT consultations on medical units
  • State and federal advocacy in mental health
  • Community-based mobility crisis teams
  • OT practice with LGBTQIA+ youth with mental health needs
  • OT’s role in substance use disorders
  • Working with individuals post-incarceration
  • Role of OT in an interdisciplinary early childhood mental health clinic
