AOTA works with state occupational therapy association leaders daily to identify, evaluate, and monitor proposals that could affect the profession. During the 2025 state legislative sessions, state occupational therapy associations addressed many legislative issues, including the Occupational Therapy Licensure Compact (OT Compact), scope of practice, and payment legislation.
