An adaptive leisure program for adults after neurological injury
Because of advances in medicine and lifesaving techniques, individuals with neurological diagnoses are living longer but often with more significant deficits affecting their health and well-being. As occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs), we are a crucial member of the health care team that provides services addressing meaningful occupations—or activities—to those with a neurological injury (American Occupational Therapy Association [AOTA], 2020a).
