Caregiver training services

Caregiver training is an important and reimbursable aspect of goal carryover within the occupational therapy plan of care. Current procedural terminology (CPT) codes exist for both caregiver training provided with the patient present and caregiver training provided to caregivers without the patient present. How caregiver training is provided and when it may be billed will vary depending on patient needs and payer coverage rules.
