The Emerging Leaders Development Program (ELDP) was such a transformative experience. I built lifelong friendships with like-minded change agents who continue to inspire and challenge me.

A lasting impression

Arameh Anvarizadeh, OTD, OTR/L, FAOTA, AOTA Board President and participant of the former Emerging Leaders Development Program reflects on her time in an AOTA leadership program. "Through this program, I had the opportunity to meet the individuals who would later go on to start Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity (COTAD) together. My mentor was the current board president at the time, Dr. Ginny Stoffel, whose leadership and guidance left a lasting impact on me."

"Today, there are multiple graduates of the ELDP serving on the current AOTA board, which speaks volumes about the program’s influence and legacy. To say this program was a gamechanger would be an understatement. It gave me the opportunity to find a community that truly changed my life forever, both personally and professionally. I am deeply and forever grateful for the experience it created for me.”
