Leadership in everyday practice
Occupational therapy is guided by a vision to improve world health and well-being through participation in meaningful everyday activities (American Occupational Therapy Association [AOTA], n.d.; World Federation of Occupational Therapists, n.d.). The history of leadership in occupational therapy has a robust foundation, and yet calls for leadership into action continue to have limited carryover in routine daily practice. This article presents findings from a qualitative descriptive study exploring how practicing clinicians in the state of Washington perceived and enacted leadership in their daily practice.
