Untapped Potential in the Pacific

As I sat down for our morning muster aboard the USNS Brunswick, a spearhead-class expeditionary fast transport vessel humorously nicknamed the “vomit comet,” I felt an uneasiness in my stomach. I reached behind my ear and realized my anti-nausea patch had fallen off, and I told myself to stop by sick call after the meeting to replace it. The Navy’s yearly medical humanitarian mission in the Indo-Pacific was well underway. The goal of this mission was to work alongside the host nation to expand its medical capabilities.
