Call for nominations open through October 14
The 2027 election nominations are now open through Wednesday, October 14, at 11:59 a.m. ET.
The nomination period was intentionally designed to provide a meaningful participation window following major religious observances, supporting equitable access and engagement for members across diverse faith and cultural practices.
We encourage all members to take full advantage of the nomination period.
Volunteer Leadership Pathways Conversations
Join an informal virtual Volunteer Leadership Pathways Conversation to learn about leadership opportunities, ask questions, and hear firsthand experiences from current and past volunteer leaders.
No registration or appointment is required. Simply join the Zoom session during any scheduled office hour and stay as long as is helpful.

Save these important dates/events for throughout the election process!
- By January 1, 2027 - Update your AOTA member profile or sign up to become an AOTA member.
- January 20, 2027 - Evening #1 with 2027 AOTA Election Candidates
- January 21, 2027 - Evening #2 with 2027 AOTA Election Candidates
- February 3, 2027 at 11:59 am ET (just before noon) - Voting opens
- February 24, 2027 at 11:59 am ET (just before noon) - Voting closes
Update profile/join AOTA by January 1, 2027
Your AOTA member profile informs what appears on your ballot for the 2027 AOTA Elections
In alignment with our bylaws, all members who wish to participate in the election should update the following information in their MyAOTA profile no later than January 1, 2027 (30 days prior to the election opening).
- Update your email address to ensure you receive ballot instructions.
- Confirm your address, which will be used for location eligibility in electing RA representatives.
- Confirm or update your Special Interest Section selection(s), which are shown in the “Demographics” section.
