Interprofessional collaboration in underserved populations: Occupational therapy in nursing-led care
Interprofessional collaboration (IPC) is a crucial approach to providing holistic and effective health care, especially for underserved populations. Collaborative approaches are particularly beneficial when integrating various health care disciplines, such as nursing and occupational therapy, to meet the complex needs of individuals who may have limited access to quality care. In underserved populations, these challenges are compounded by barriers, such as socioeconomic status, cultural differences, and inadequate health care infrastructure.
