Professional study groups for evidence-based practice
Many occupational therapists (OTs) need support to engage in evidence-based practice (EBP) as numerous obstacles stand in the way of applying research evidence to clinical practice. Newly initiated professional study groups on EBP for school-based OTs in the New York City Department of Education (NYC DOE) were developed to provide a venue for school-based OTs to advance their skills and knowledge in applying research evidence to their everyday practice.
