Providing Evidence-Based, High-Tech Home Modifications for Persons With ALS
Limited independence with environmental access is a prominent issue that occupational therapy practitioners encounter when providing services to clients with neurological conditions. Conditions that are progressive in nature require client-centered and targeted intervention in this area. As clients progress through a disease course, they begin to rely on caregivers more, not only for self-care needs, but also for access to their home environments. Additionally, physical and
