Driving Retirement for Persons With Parkinson’s Disease and Their Care Partners: A Novel Interactive Workshop
Driving is a primary form of community mobility, meaning that it serves as a means of transportation that enables travel through the community and thus engagement in other IADLs (Stav & Lieberman, 2008). As driving retirement disrupts community mobility, it can pose major challenges to individuals, including loss of independence, increased feelings of being a "burden" on family or friends, and decreased participation in meaningful activities (Hendrickson & Mann, 2005;
