Congress, Falls Prevention, and the Role of Occupational Therapy

In May, the Senate Select Committee on Aging put out a request for recommendations on how to reduce the risk of falls and falls-related injuries in older Americans. The Aging Committee does not draft legislation; its key purpose is to study issues related to aging and make recommendations for possible legislative action by other committees. This year it decided its key investigative focus will be falls.
