Participation Matters highlights the role of everyday activities, roles and routines in supporting health, wellbeing and quality of life. Occupational therapy advances participation by addressing physical, cognitive, emotional, environmental and social factors that influence engagement in occupations that people want, need, or are expected to do.
What is World OT Day?
The World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) is the international voice of the occupational therapy profession which globally comprises of 111 national occupational therapy professional organizations. World Occupational Therapy Day, held annually on October 27, is the opportunity to heighten the visibility of the profession’s development work and to promote the activities of WFOT locally, nationally, and internationally.
