PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Successful payment for occupational therapy requires the occupational therapy practitioner to select, document, and bill appropriate diagnostic and intervention codes that accurately describe the services they deliver. Understanding the intersection between coding, documentation, and billing however can be somewhat of a mystery, especially for practitioners billing occupational therapy services for the first time or entering a new setting with unfamiliar payer requirements. This webinar will briefly review how different payers reimburse for occupational therapy and highlight basic coding, billing, and documentation best practices for accurate payment of occupational therapy services.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Identify three coding and billing tips for accurate payment of OT services
