House Passes American Health Care Act: Obamacare Replacement Bill Heads to Senate

Today the House of Representatives passed the American Health Care Act (AHCA) by a vote of 217 to 213. The AHCA is intended as replacement for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) also known as "Obamacare." The bill does not fully repeal "Obamacare" but makes significant changes to its basic elements as well as completely overhauls the Medicaid program.
