AOTA Working to Allow Medicare Coverage of Occupational Therapy Provided Via Telehealth

Certain services provided through Medicare Part B can be provided via telehealth, within certain parameters. Unfortunately, occupational therapy (OT), physical therapy and speech language pathology are not among the services that Medicare will reimburse. In addition, therapy services including OT were not included in legislation that was enacted in the last Congress to allow Medicare Advantage (MA) or Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) to expand the variety of services able to be provided
