AOTA Welcomes New Board Members and Representative Assembly Leaders
On July 1, 2026, AOTA’s Board of Directors welcomed a new treasurer, Bryant Edwards, OTD, MA, OTR/L, BCP, MPH, FAOTA, who recently served as a Board Director, as well as two new Board Directors: Erik Johnson, OTD, OTR, FAOTA, and Dawn Sonnier, LOTR, CAPS, FAOTA.
We also thank outgoing Treasurer Benjamin Gross, CScD, OTR/L, and outgoing Board Director Razan Hamed, PhD, MSc, MEd, OTR/L, FAOTA, for their exceptional service and leadership.
AOTA Board members serve three-year terms. The AOTA Board of Directors is composed of occupational therapy and organizational leaders who are committed to advancing AOTA’s mission and helping to shape the future of both the organization and the profession.

The AOTA Representative Assembly, integral to the governance of the organization, is responsible for the development and approval of Professional Standards and Policies.
