AJOT Announces New Editor-in-Chief
AOTA is pleased to announce the appointment of Timothy J. Wolf, OTD, PhD, OTR/L, FAOTA, as the next Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Occupational Therapy (AJOT), effective July 1, 2026.
As AJOT celebrates its eightieth year of publication, Dr. Wolf will guide the journal’s strategic direction, uphold its rigorous peer-review standards, and continue to expand its impact on occupational therapy practice, education, and research worldwide. Widely recognized for his contributions to occupational therapy research, education, and clinical practice, Dr. Wolf has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing evidence-based practice and promoting high-quality scholarship within the profession. He focuses on improving functional outcomes and participation for individuals with neurological conditions, while also mentoring emerging researchers and clinicians in occupational therapy.
Dr. Wolf brings extensive editorial, research, and leadership experience that will support AJOT’s continued growth as the profession’s premier scholarly journal. “It is an honor and privilege to serve as the new Editor-in-Chief of AJOT,” said Dr. Wolf. “I am excited to build on the legacy of Dr. Reynolds and with a continued commitment to quality, innovation, and scholarly impact.”
Dr. Wolf currently serves as the Associate Dean for Research and Professor and Chair of the Department of Occupational Therapy in the College of Health Sciences at the University of Missouri.
AOTA also extends our sincere gratitude to Stacey Reynolds, PhD, OTR/L, FAOTA, who will complete a six-year tenure as AJOT Editor-in-Chief on June 30, 2026. During her tenure, Dr. Reynolds (who serves as Professor of Occupational Therapy at Virginia Commonwealth University) provided outstanding leadership and vision, strengthening AJOT’s reputation for excellence, expanding the diversity and quality of published scholarship, and advancing the journal’s influence within and beyond the occupational therapy community. AOTA salutes and celebrates her dedication and service to AJOT and the profession.
