Department staff members provide research, technical assistance, and consultation on a wide range of state legislative and regulatory issues and function as a clearinghouse for information useful to state regulatory boards. Staff work with the state regulatory boards, analyze proposed legislation and regulations on key issues, provide testimony, and recommend appropriate strategies for handling issues that affect the profession.
