Mental Health

Occupational therapy practitioners include mental health as part of their treatment, no matter what the condition is. They also help people with mental illness to function in their daily lives.

Occupational therapists must have a master’s degree for entry-level practice, and occupational therapy assistants must have an associate’s degree. Both must pass an initial certification exam.

The Tip Sheets below provide ways to address common conditions, and how occupational therapy can help.
