Hill Day: Monday, September 15th, 2014
8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Deadline to Register: August 25, 2014
Register for Hill Day Today – space is limited!
Join occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, and occupational therapy students from around the country in Washington D.C. to advocate for the profession and communicate the distinct value of occupational therapy.
In order to accommodate our growing number of attendees, we will have two training sessions (limit of 425 per session): one from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and one from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., at the Capitol Visitors Center. When registering, please select your time preference, but know that we cannot guarantee a specific timeslot, depending on our ability to schedule Congressional appointments. Additionally, AOTA staff will make ALL of your Congressional appointments (House and Senate). We plan to schedule appointments between 11:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This year, we will require attendees to participate in an online preparatory session that will help you know what to expect, and how to conduct a meeting with your Members of Congress. The onsite briefing will cover the legislative issues, talking points, current Congressional activity, and Q&A.
Already planning on coming to Hill Day? Consider coming early and attending the AOTA Specialty Conference: “Effective Documentation – The Key to Payment & Articulating Our Distinct Value.”
