Lesley Addison worked on several projects with her mentor, Salvador Bondoc, OTD, OTR/L, CHT, during her mentorship. Lesley is developing an OT Practice article focused on international occupational therapy practice, which will describe the diverse and interesting experiences of practitioners working abroad. Lesley also is creating a proposal focused on providing effective patient education intended for the AOTA Annual Conference & Expo in 2012.
Lesley says the best part of participating in the program was connecting with other practitioners who have a passion for the profession. She gained confidence in her ability to make a difference in the lives of others.
How did Emerging Leaders help you to live life to its fullest?
“My participation in this program has really allowed me to connect with others who share similar interests and are driven to get things accomplished, all in the hope of providing better care and services to our clients—that is a great feeling! It makes me proud to be an OT,” says Lesley.
