(9/27/05) My first Level II fieldwork placement was a local outpatient pediatric clinic owned by an occupational therapist. I enjoy working with older adults and did not expect to love pediatrics as much as I did. It was an amazing experience. There was a great deal of co-treating with the speech-language pathologists and physical therapists.
I learned a great deal about these fields and how we complement each other. The clinic also has a heavy focus on sensory integration and it was nice to get practical experience using theory in treatment.
