Call for AJOT Associate Editors
The American Journal of Occupational Therapy (AJOT) is seeking to fill three openings for newly created associate editor positions. These 2-year volunteer positions include working with the AJOT editor-in-chief and manuscript peer reviewers to review and encourage manuscript submissions in specific practice areas. Associate editors, with the editor-in-chief, will constitute the AJOT Editorial Board.
Associate editors will be responsible for taking 2–3 manuscripts through the entire review process per month. This process involves screening manuscripts, sending papers out for review, corresponding with authors during the revision process, and making recommendations to the editor-in-chief.
Applicants should have experience in research design and manuscript publication and be able to devote sufficient time to this significant work. The journal is particularly seeking applicants with expertise in pediatrics or rehabilitation, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and a strong knowledge of statistical analysis. Previous experience as an AJOT peer reviewer is ideal but not required.
