Course Description
Each year, many occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants enroll as new providers in the Medicare program. Medicare providers are faced with the daunting task of learning a new payment system while remaining good clinicians. Some of the challenges include understanding documentation requirements, proper billing codes, and reimbursement policies and procedures. Information presented in this session will inform practitioners about resources and strategies that can lead to successful reimbursement. Whether you are a new therapist beginning your career or learning a new payment system in a new setting, this course is prepared for you.

- Delineate the Medicare program and the regulatory process.
- Identify Medicare Part A and Part B Medicare payment systems.
- Identify the required enrollment tools and procedures to assist practitioners with program participation.

You will be able to take the exam online immediately following the Webcast. Participants receive a continuing education certificate for .15 AOTA CEU (1.5 NBCOT PDUs/1.5 contact hours) after successful completion of the exam with a score of 80% or better.
To Retake Exam
If you are not successful in passing the Webcast exam, you may opt to retake it a second time for a processing fee of $12.00. To retake the exam, call 877-404-AOTA.
