Presenter Bio

Winnie Dunn PhD, OTR, FAOTA is Professor and Chair of the Department of Occupational Therapy Education at the University of Kansas. She is internationally known for her work on sensory processing and its impact on everyday life. Dr. Dunn is both an author and coauthor in the Sensory Profile family of measures, which provide a means for characterizing a person’s sensory processing in the context of their lives. She has published more than 80 articles in professional journals based on her research, and has authored more than 40 books and book chapters. Her recent publication was a book for the public based on her research: Living Sensationally: Understanding Your Senses, which is published by Jessica Kingsley Publications. Reports on this book have appeared in international publications and heard on broadcasts, including Time magazine, the London Times Newspaper, Cosmopolitan magazine, and Canadian Public Radio.
