She worked at the University of Illinois Medical Center (UIMC) at Chicago for more than 11 years and was most recently the director of occupational therapy. In addition to her administrative experience, Castle has 19 years of clinical experience in various settings, including acute care, rehabilitation, outpatient, skilled nursing, and home health. The UIMC adult physical disability team uses the MOHOST as part of its inpatient rehabilitation initial and discharge assessment.

She has been practicing as an occupational therapist since 1987, specializing in industrial rehabilitation. She works at the UIC in industrial rehabilitation and is clinical instructor in the Department of Occupational Therapy. She teaches in the areas of ergonomics and its application in health care and rehabilitation, occupational therapists’ role in industrial rehabilitation, and general concepts of work rehabilitation. Sen has co-authored chapters on the topic of occupational therapy in industrial rehabilitation.
Sarah T. Skinner, MEd, OTR/L, graduated from Kansas University in 1974. She has been the behavioral health occupational therapy team leader at UIC for the past 15 years. Throughout her career, which includes work at Loyola University Medical Center and Michael Reese Medical Center in Chicago and at the Institute of Living in Hartford, Connecticut, Skinner has promoted the use of published occupational therapy assessments in psychiatric inpatient units and in day treatment. She started using MOHO assessment tools in the 1980s, beginning with the Occupational and Circumstances Assessment Interview and Rating Scale (OCAIRS). Her group of UIC psychiatric occupational therapists have selected the MOHOST for their initial occupational therapy assessment and treatment planning on the adult psychiatric unit because it lends itself to acute care. Skinner and her group have also developed MOHO-based formats for documentation in UIC’s computerized noting system; in doing so, they have helped therapists integrate theory into their noting system and assisted other disciplines in better understanding occupational therapy theory.
