Presenter Bio
Jane Case-Smith, EdD, OTR/L, FAOTA, BCP, is professor and director of the Occupational Therapy Division at The Ohio State University. She has worked in pediatric occupational therapy as a practitioner or instructor for the past 27 years. She has completed research on fine-motor-skills development and sensory integration interventions in infants and young children. She has written numerous chapters and texts on occupational therapy practice with children and is the editor of Occupational Therapy for Children, 5th ed.. Currently, she evaluates children with autism in a university-affiliated clinic and consults with school-based occupational therapy on issues in intervention for children with ASD. She has been one of the primary authors for the AOTA materials on evidence-based interventions for autism, including the forthcoming Children With Autism: AOTA Occupational Therapy Practice Guidelines.
