CMS Releases Final Physician Fee Schedule Rule for 2009 - Detailed Summary Now Available!
CMS released the final rule governing services reimbursed under the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule on October 30, 2008. The lengthy rule addresses a number of issues relevant to occupational therapists, including:

outpatient therapy cap;

Physician Quality Reporting Initiative;

comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation facilities services;

rehabilitation agency services; and

physician and non-physician practitioner enrollment issues
