AOTA Comments on NQF Multiple Chronic Conditions Measurement Framework
The National Quality Forum (NQF), of which AOTA is a member, works to set national performance improvement priorities and also manages, endorses, and promotes quality measures. NQF is currently working on a number of measure development projects, one of which is designed to address multiple chronic conditions (MCCs). To further this effort, NQF has drafted a Measurement Framework for MCCs that is intended to guide future endorsements of quality measures for patients with MCCs. The document outlines a number of function-related measure concepts that are a priority for AOTA. In cooperation with member volunteers, AOTA submitted comments to NQF on January 13, 2012.
