AOTA Virtual Hill Day Today: Make the Voice of Occupational Therapy Heard on Capitol Hill

Even if you can’t be one of the more then 400 occupational therapy practitioners and students coming to the Capitol for AOTA’s annual Hill Day, you can still do your part to bring the voice of occupational therapy in high definition to Washington, D.C. Our Hill Day and Virtual Hill Day efforts are focused on addressing the Medicare Part B outpatient therapy caps. With the current situation in Washington presenting some unique challenges, your advocacy will be critical to addressing the cap and protecting beneficiary access to necessary and essential services, including occupational therapy.

Though you may not be able to join us in person, it is imperative that you help your colleagues here in Washington bring OT into high definition!!! We urge every occupational therapy practitioner and student to contact their representatives on September 19 to help advance the interest of the profession and the patients we serve.

To speak up for your clients and profession, join AOTA’s advocacy efforts. Click here to access additional information on the cap and to customize and send a message to your members of Congress urging them to take action on the Cap because thousands of Medicare beneficiaries are at risk of losing critical services on January 1, 2012. You can also Call your Members of Congress using the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121 and tell them Congress needs to act now to address this critical issue before the cap is implemented.
