AOTA and AOTF Adopt a Research Agenda for Occupational Therapy
The American Occupational Therapy Association and the American Occupational Therapy Foundation (AOTF) boards have adopted the Research Advisory Panel’s (RAP) Occupational Therapy Research Agenda.
Due to the Centennial Vision’s emphasis on research, the RAP was created in 2007 and consists of 10 members and Chairperson Joan Rogers, PhD, OTR/L, FAOTA, appointed by the presidents of AOTA and AOTF.
The Occupational Therapy Research Agenda emphasizes intervention/prevention, translational, and health services research but also recognizes the importance of other areas of research such as assessment/measurement and basic research.
