Be sure to read all instructions before registering by any of the convenient methods.
Please use only one to avoid duplicate registrations.
| ONLINE (preferred method)
Complete the online registration form . Have your credit card information on hand. Upon completing the form, a confirmation email will be sent to the e-mail address you provide. The confirmation email will also serve as your receipt of payment.
When completing the Registration Form:
- Clearly print all information. Complete both sides of the form.
- A separate form must be completed for each person.
- Do not send more than one copy of your registration form, as this could result in duplicate registrations and duplicate credit card charges.

Mail
Send the completed Registration Form and payment to AOTA at ExpoTrac, PO Box 1280, Woonsocket, RI 02895. You will receive a confirmation email when your registration has been processed. |

Fax
Fax the completed Registration Form to AOTA at ExpoTrac, 401-765-6677 (24/7). Due to the high volume of registrations we receive we do not confirm receipt of your fax. You will receive a confirmation email when your registration has been processed. |

Phone
If registration online, by mail, or by fax is not an option, call AOTA at 800-SAY-AOTA, Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm EST, to register by phone. Please have all required information available when placing your call, including complete credit card information. You will receive a confirmation email when your registration has been processed. |

Register onsite at the San Diego Convention Center during the designated hours.
Other Registration Information
Special Discounts
Students and retired occupational therapists must meet AOTA membership criteria to qualify for discounted registration fees. Contact AOTA's Membership Services Department if you have any questions. One-day registrations include education sessions and events presented on the day of registration only.
Pre-Conference Institutes
Institutes will be held on Wednesday, April 24. To register for an Institute, complete Section 3 of the Registration Form. Institute tickets will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Any Institute that does not meet its minimum registration requirement by Wednesday, March 6, 2013, is subject to cancellation.
Guest Registrations
Conference registrants may use Section 6 of the Registration Form to pre-register a guest ($85.00 per person). A guest registration includes the Welcome Ceremony and Keynote Address, the Expo Grand Opening and Welcome Reception, and unlimited entrance to the Exhibit Hall. A guest's name badge and purchased event tickets will be mailed to Conference registrant's home address. Persons who qualify as a guest attend the Conference in a social capacity only. Guests may not be a member of AOTA, an occupational therapy practitioner, or enrolled in an occupational therapy program.
Payment
Payment may be made by check or money order (payable to AOTA in U.S. funds) or by credit card (VISA or MasterCard). The following policies are in effect regarding payment:
An appropriate form of payment must accompany the Registration Form.
A fee of $25.00 will be assessed for any check returned by a bank for nonpayment.
If you expect your employer to pay your registration fee, give your employer ample notice so that AOTA receives payment before the registration deadline, or pre-pay your fees and receive reimbursement from your employer.
Confirmation/Receipt of Registration
When registering online, you will receive a confirmation email to the email address provided at the time of registration. Mail-in registrants will receive confirmation of registration within 2 weeks after receipt of a completed registration form. Your confirmation letter will serve as your receipt of registration and will include any Pre-Conference Institutes and/or special event(s) that you have registered to attend. You will have the opportunity to make any corrections by following the instructions provided in the confirmation letter. If you do not receive a confirmation letter within 3 weeks of registering, contact aota@expotrac.com, or fax a note to 401-765-6677.
Name Badges and Tickets
Name badges and event tickets will be mailed to confirmed registrants between April 8 to April 17. Onsite pickup will be available at the San Diego Convention Center for international registrations and registrations processed after April 8. On-site registration hours are listed on this page.
Cancellation/Refund Policy
If you need to cancel your Conference registration, notify AOTA by e-mail at conference@aota.org, or fax (301-652- 1417). A 15% processing fee will be applied to all cancellation requests made through March 27. Refunds will not be issued after March 27 or for "no-shows;" however, substitutions are always welcomed with a written notice. See "Registration Substitutions" below for instructions. Refund requests will be processed after Conference. Send questions regarding this policy to conference@aota.org or by calling AOTA.
Registration Substitutions
If you find that you are unable to attend the Conference after you have already registered, you may designate another person to take your place, provided that the replacement meets the same registration fee criteria. If an additional fee structure applies to the substitute registrant, all additional fees must be paid at the time the substitution is made. Partial refunds will not be granted. Exchange of tickets for paid events will be considered, subject to availability.
The registrant must submit substitution changes in writing to aota@expotrac.com, or via fax to 401-765-6677, no later than April 8. After April 8, substitutions will be processed on-site. Contact AOTA via e-mail at conference@aota.org with any questions.
Conference Program and Guide
Prior to Conference, complete program and event information will be available online. The Conference Program Guide will be distributed on-site at the San Diego Convention Center during the registration hours listed below. Pre-registered attendees will receive their copy upon check-in at the Convention Center. The education program can be accessed online prior to conference.

AOTA's Conference Registration area will be located in Exhibit Halls E-G Lobby on the <ground level> of the San Diego Convention Center.

*The "Join Now" package discount applies to those who qualify for OT, OTA, and Individual Associate membership categories. It does not apply to students or 1st- and 2nd-year practitioners.

Group Registration Discount
The group discount rates apply to groups from the same school or organization. Group discounts apply to the full conference registration rate and do not apply to Pre-Conference Institutes or ticketed events nor can the discount be applied against an already reduced Conference fee, such as the speaker rate.
- Groups of 20-49 receive a 10% discount
- Groups of 50-99 receive a 20% discount
- Groups of 100 or more receive a 25% discount
Group registration can be mailed or completed online by following these guidelines:
Mail-in Group Registration Instructions:
- All of the group registration forms for each individual must be mailed in the same packet in order to receive the applicable group discount.
- When completing the form, subtract the applicable discounted rate from the full rate and enter the amount in Section 8 of the registration form.
- Include a coversheet with your packet with the following information:
- The name of the primary contact person
- Any special instructions
- A list of all registrants included in the packet with the amount due for each individual. Include the group grand total
- Mail packet to: ExpoTrac/AOTA Annual Conference, PO Box 1280, Woonsocket, RI 02895
Any missing information may delay the processing of the group registration. Each individual will receive a confirmation email when the registration has been processed.
Note: Registration Forms mailed separately will be processed as individual registrations and will not be eligible for the group discount, nor will it count toward the minimum number of registrations required.
Online Group Registration - ALL conditions listed below must be met in order to register online as a group. If all conditions are not met, please follow the instructions above for mail-in registration.
- There must be 20 or more in the group
- All registrations will be paid with a credit card
- Each individual registering must pay the full amount due with a single credit card (e.g., two credit cards may not be used to pay for a single registration)
- One person must be designated as the contact person in case questions arise
Online Group Registration Instructions (If your group meets the above conditions, you may register online as a group):
- Go to the online online registration form
- Select "Create a Registration Group" and follow the screen prompts
- After completing the form, you will be provided with a Group Access code and instructions on using the code. Please share this code with your group members.
Registering with the Group Access Code:
- Go to the online registration page
- Select "Make a New Registration"
- Enter your Group Access Code in the field "Enter your group registration code"
- Complete the remainder of the form. You will receive an email confirming your registration which will also serve as your receipt.
- The minimum number of registrations must be met in order for all registrants to receive the applicable discounted rate.
