AOTPAC Chair Attends Congressional Swearing In Ceremonies

Members of the 110th Congress took their oaths of office on January 4, 2007. Amy Lamb, OTD, OTR/L, the new chair of AOTPAC, participated in the ceremonial events with AOTA Public Affairs staff.

The festivities began with an event for Speaker Nancy Pelosi the day prior and ended with a concert hosted by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, in honor of Pelosi and the democratic majority in the House of Representatives.

The events provided an exceptional opportunity for Lamb and AOTA lobbyists to discuss occupational therapy and legislative issues with Members of Congress and their staff.

The visibility of occupational therapy is critical as new Congress Members are sworn in and planning begins for the legislative session.
