Coding & Payment Specialist
The American Occupational Therapy Association, a national health care professional association located in downtown Bethesda, has an immediate opening for a Coding & Payment Specialist in our Public Affairs group. This individual will have critical responsibilities for the Association’s activities in coding and reimbursement, supportive analysis and advocacy, and communication to members. Primarily responsible for providing analytical support related to public and/or private payment policies, particularly in relation to the Common Procedural Terminology (CPT©) as published by the American Medical Association (AMA) and activities of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Requirements: BA/BS + min. 5 years of related experience. Advanced degree in health policy, public or health administration preferred but not necessary. Technical work requires high level of computer analysis. Must possess excellent writing skills, project management and strategic thinking ability. Strong interpersonal/communication skills are also required.
