Wilma L. West Library


The Wilma L. West Library houses an extensive collection of resources that includes monographs, journals, dissertations, theses, conference proceedings, and audio-visual materials. This collection covers a wide array of information related to education, theory and practice of occupational therapy and the study of occupational science

The contents of Wilma L. West Library are indexed in OT Search (Occupational Therapy Bibliographic System), an online bibliographic database with over 34,000 bibliographic records. Drawing from this database, the library operates as a national clearinghouse of occupational therapy information for AOTA members, libraries and occupational therapy practitioners..

Librarians can assist with performing literature searches, offer guidance on additional sources of information, provide answers to specific questions and send photocopies of documents in compliance with copyright laws. Charges apply for literature searches and document delivery services.

The library is open Monday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (EST); however, visitors must make an appointment with library staff. For further information, call  800-729-2682 , ext. 2557 (AOTA members only) or  301-652-6611 , ext. 2557 (nonmembers).
